On air now · Ch 07 West

There's a monkeyin the static.

Fuzz lives in the crackly bit between TV channels, and he gets bored when stories go to script. Pick an episode, choose the twist, and Fuzz writes and paints every scene with your family.

Try it

Every Fuzz story turns on two little words.

A story starts the way you'd expect. Then Fuzz leans in, grins, and asks “Ooh… what if?” Press the button and see where he'd take it. In West, your family picks the twist.

Steer a whole story in West

The story so far

Two cowboys face off on a dusty street at high noon.

Ooh… what if

…their six-shooters were bubble wands, and the showdown became a bake-off?

The cast

Who you'll meet in the static.

A few familiar faces follow Fuzz from story to story. Every World adds its own characters too, and your family's characters come along for the ride.

  • Fuzz, a fluffy static monkey with a yellow face, winking and waving. The monkey in the static

    Fuzz

Impish, never mean. He crackles when he laughs and flickers when he's embarrassed. He talks in lines borrowed from every story he's visited.

    “Yee-haw, your majesty!”

  • That's you

    The Tuner

The only person who can see Fuzz. He picked you for one reason: you laughed. Your characters come along through every channel.

  • Rabbit Ears, a nervous bunny whose ears are a TV antenna, clutching a script. The sidekick

    Rabbit Ears

A nervous little rabbit whose ears are a TV antenna. He has read the script, all of it, and panics whenever Fuzz changes it.

    “That's not on page twelve!”

  • Gretta, a grandmother with silver curls and red glasses, holding an old TV remote. The grandmother

    Gretta

It's her old TV in the attic. She knows a lot more about the static than she lets on.

    “Well. Fancy seeing you again.”

  • The Station Manager, a tidy gentleman in a pinstripe suit holding a clipboard. The one who likes things tidy

    The Station Manager

Polite, perfectly sharp, and always in high definition. He believes every story should run exactly to script. Surprises make him very nervous.

  • The Bars, three little helpers with color-bar striped square heads, tumbling over each other. His helpers

    The Bars

Square-headed, stripy and enthusiastic. They rush in to fix the script, trip over each other, and secretly love the twists.

How a Fuzz story goes

Tune in. Twist it. Keep the good bits.

Every story in the Fuzz Monkey universe follows the same mischievous shape, which makes it easy to play together and impossible to play the same way twice.

  1. Tune in

A story you know starts just the way it should. Cowboys, castles, rocket ships.

  2. “Ooh… what if?”

Fuzz gets bored and offers a twist. Your family picks one, or makes up your own.

  3. Off the rails

The story goes delightfully sideways, and the characters find out they like it better this way.

  4. The Bars arrive

The Station Manager's helpers rush in to put everything back on script. Make the new version too good to undo.

  5. Sign off

Fuzz pockets one souvenir from the story. Keep an eye out. It always turns up somewhere silly later.

A grandmother and grandchild laugh together on a cozy couch over a tablet, while Fuzz peeks over the cushions.

Screen time you do together.

For grown-ups

Made for reading and playing together.

Fuzz Monkey stories are built for a kid and a grown-up on the same couch, making choices together and laughing at what happens.

  • Silly, never scary

The villains are fussy, not frightening. The worst thing that happens is a story staying boring.

  • Your family steers

At every twist you choose what happens, or invent something nobody's thought of. No two families get the same story.

  • A little lesson, lightly

The best part of a story is often the part nobody planned. That's true off the screen too.

  • Keep the ones you love

Every finished episode goes on your family's Tape Shelf, ready to read again at bedtime.
